About Hunter
In 2013, Hunter entered into his Rookie Year as a competitor in Beginner Box Stock at Millbridge Speedway in North Carolina. Here, he captured six top-2 and nine top-5 finishes landing him fifth in track points, despite getting a late start on the season. Heading into the 2014 season, he was a likely threat for other competitors as a consistent front-runner. In August of 2020 Hunter took the leap from Outlaw Karts to 600 Micros. In just Hunter's 5th start in the Micro he managed a 2nd place finish. Hunter is looking for many checkered flags in his first full season of Micro racing.
Hunter Kohn is a 4th generation racer. His great-grandfather was a pioneer in early open wheel and late model racing. His grandfather captured over 200 dirt late model wins in the Midwest and nearly a dozen national touring championships. Even his mother, Marci, raced and won in mini-stocks in her home state of Kansas before moving to North Carolina. Hunter's dad is no stranger to racing, either, working with multiple dirt late model stars before moving to North Carolina to pursue a career in NASCAR. The first time Hunter sat in a go kart, he was three years old.
