Brief History

Jensen grew up playing and eventually working in his Mom and Dad's shop, TNT Race Cars. He acquired a love for working on race cars and was the shops main fabricator for years. He spent evenings after school and weekends either at the shop or with his parents at a local track helping customers.

Jensen never had an urge to actually hop into a race car until one night in 2007 at Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, Virginia. One day, John King Jr., who was a friend of the family asked Jensen if he wanted to drive his 1989 Masterbuilt.

Jensen told King, “I would like to try it. I think I could do it!”

Jensen had two practice sessions before he stepped out for his first race at Wythe Raceway. He qualified 22 out of 24 cars. He then drove the duct tapped #83 from 22nd to a runner-up place in the 30-lap feature. During his post race interview, Jensen was asked how he liked the track tonight, to which he excitedly replied “I don’t really know, this was the first time I have ever raced!”

The 2023 season will see Jensen return to the driver's seat of the McCarter Brothers Racing No. 83 MasterSBilt Chassis.
