ADAIRSVILLE, FL – The next stop for the 6th Annual Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series Winter Shootout Series will be at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, FL for a trio of races that make up the 2nd Annual Sunshine Nationals.
Rounds 2, 3, and 4, this Thursday night for a $1,500-to-win race, this Friday night for a $2,000-to-win race, and a $10,000-to-win race on Saturday night. The Sunshine Nationals $10,000-to-win Saturday night finale will also be the first race of the E-Z-GO $100,000 Challenge Series for the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series.
The E-Z-GO $100,000 Challenge Series is a Series Within A Series made up of eight $10,000-to-win races and a $20,000-to-win race. Three of the E-Z-GO races are a part of the Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Winter Shootout Series.
Kyle Bronson of Brandon, FL swept all three Sunshine Nationals races last year, and he was the 2017 Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series Winter Shootout Champion. Pierce McCarter of Gatlinburg, TN is the defending Winter Shootout Series Champion. Other past Winter Shootout Series Champions are Chase Edge of Lafayette, AL in 2016, and Jimmy Elliott of Cleveland, TN in 2018 and 2019.
The opening round of the 2021 Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series Winter Shootout Series was won by Jason Welshan of Maryville, TN on Sunday at the 30th Annual Ice Bowl at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL.
The OnTrack action begins on Wednesday night with an Open Practice Session from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Pit Gate at Volusia Speedway Park opens at 4 p.m. Hauler Parking and Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin’ USA Pre-Race Registration and Technical Inspection will be conducted from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
On Thursday night, the Pit Gate opens at 11 a.m., with Crate Racin’ USA Pre-Race Registration and Technical Inspection from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The Drivers Meeting is set for 4:30 p.m. with Hot Laps scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
On Friday, the Pit Gate opens at 2 p.m. with a 4:30 Drivers Meeting and Hot Lap/Boyd Built Fabricators Qualifying scheduled for 5:30 p.m. On Saturday, the Pit Gate Opens at 2 p.m., with the Drivers Meeting at 4:30 p.m. and Hot Lap/Boyd Built Fabricators Qualifying at 5 p.m.
