Crate Racin' USA Announces 2021 Late Model Schedules

Crate Racin' USA Announces 2021 Late Model Schedules

ADAIRSVILLE, Ga. — Heading into its 17th season of competition, the Adairsville, Ga-based Crate Racin' USA organization will soon embark on a growth-oriented campaign that will help continue and expand the company's leadership role across the country for Chevrolet Performance 604 Late Model competitors.
The long-standing Newsome Raceway Parts Crate Racin' USA Dirt Late Model Series highlights the 2021 racing season with 22 events at 13 different tracks in six states. The season opens April 9-10 at Greenville (Miss.) Speedway with the annual Rumble on the Gumbo.
The overall National Touring Series champion will earn $10,000, and Wil Herrington of Hawkinsville, Ga., is the reigning series champion.
Additionally, the newly-announced E-Z-GO $100,000+ Challenge, a unique "series within a series" collection of events that will pay at least $10,000 to win each, is expected to draw much attention. It's possible more events will be added. A separate points fund for these events will pay $5,000 to the overall champion.
The traditional Winter Series will once again take place starting with the 30th annual Ice Bowl weekend Jan. 7-10 at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Ala. Nine events are currently scheduled for the Winter Series, and it will also carry a separate points fund paying $2,500 to the overall champion.
Pierce McCarter is the reigning series titlist.
"We are truly pleased to be able to put together the schedules we have thus far for the 2021 season, and there's possibly a couple more dates to be added in the near future," said series director Adam Stewart. "We are coming off a year that was obviously affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, but fortunately we're experiencing a period of noticeable growth, and we believe it's a solid indication of the future potential for this organization. Our sponsorship inquiries have been increasing, and there seems to be more interest in what we're doing not only with our touring circuits, but also for our weekly competitors. More and more tracks are realizing the benefits of having us sanction their weekly events, and we hope to be making some additional announcements regarding planned growth for that segment of our company. We're pretty excited because we feel the future is brighter than ever for our racers, teams, tracks and marketing partners."
The E-Z-Go $100,000+ Challenge is expected to focus increased attention on the overall series, giving competitors multiple chances during the season to race for at least $10,000 to win. Compared to last season's schedule, that represents five additional chances (and potentially more) to race for at least $10,000 to win.
"The E-Z-GO sponsorship is something that gives a big boost to both our organization and its competitors, and places our form of affordable engine option Late Model racing squarely into a much larger spotlight," Stewart said. "It also gives our competitors a chance to race more times for $10,000, and allows us to showcase E-Z-GO through major events that will garner additional attention for them on a consistent basis through the entire year."
Newsome Raceway Parts is the Crate Racin' USA title sponsor and serves competitors with economical Chevrolet Performance 604 and 602 circle track engines and parts. The 400-horsepower economical aluminum head, steel block Chevrolet Performance 604 engine is the motor of choice for the Late Model division.
All engines are in stock and available for free next-day delivery from Newsome Raceway Parts in Hartsville, S.C. The company gives a portion of the sales from each engine back to the Crate Racin' USA point funds in four different Weekly Racing Series divisions.
Each engine is built and sealed at the factory to prevent any expensive modifications. To place an order, call Newsome Raceway Parts at 1-877-497-3624.
