    CRUSA Adjusts Kentucky-Tennessee June Doubleheader

    CRUSA Adjusts Kentucky-Tennessee June Doubleheader

(Eastaboga, AL – May 18, 2026) – As the Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series prepares to return to All-Tech Raceway in Lake City, Florida this Saturday night for the $10,000-to-win Harvey Jones Memorial, series officials have announced schedule changes for the upcoming June 5–6 Kentucky and Tennessee doubleheader weekend.

The Tazewell Speedway and Thunder Mountain Speedway events will officially swap dates and purses for the weekend.

The “Bad Fast Taz” in Tazewell, Tennessee will now host the series on Friday night, June 5th for the inaugural Jimmy “Pup” Thomas Memorial, paying $3,000 to win. Meanwhile, Thunder Mountain Speedway in Corbin, Kentucky will welcome the series for the first time ever on Saturday night, June 6th for the $5,000-to-win Borderline Brawl.

Friday’s stop at Tazewell Speedway will mark the third all-time appearance for America’s Leader in Racing at the famed high-banked East Tennessee bullring, now owned and operated by Brian Smith and family.

The series most recently visited the 1/3-mile oval on June 21, 2024, when Ricky Weiss captured the victory. Prior to that, the series had not competed at Tazewell since August 23, 2013, when Jimmy Elliott scored the win.

The Friday night program will also feature Sportsman Late Models, Street Stocks, Classics, and Crown Vics as part of a full night of racing action.

Then on Saturday night, the series heads north to Corbin, Kentucky for its first-ever appearance at Derrick and Lori Barton's operated Thunder Mountain Speedway. This Borderline Brawl will pay $5,000 to win and marks just the third time in series history that Crate Racin’ USA has competed in the Bluegrass State.

The previous Kentucky appearances came in 2015 at Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway in Calvert City, where Riley Hickman and John Ownbey each claimed victories during a pair of 50-lap events on August 28–29.

The Thunder Mountain Speedway event will be the lone Kentucky stop of the 2026 season and is expected to bring top Chevrolet Performance 604 Late Model talent from across the Southeast to battle local stars for the lucrative payday.

Support divisions at Thunder Mountain Speedway will include Open Wheel Modifieds, Hobby Stocks, FWDs, and Jr. FWDs.

Both events will feature complete CRUSA programs including MyRacePass/Fantasy Racing Hot Laps, Bama Sheds & Pole Barns Pole Qualifying, Rogers-Dabbs Chevrolet B-Mains, and feature events.

Fans unable to attend can catch every lap live on Crate Racin’ USA TV with flag-to-flag coverage from both nights.
