(Eastaboga, AL – March 31, 2026) – Crate Racin’ USA officials have announced a schedule adjustment for the Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series, as the April 10–11 weekend originally slated for Screven Motor Speedway will now shift to Modoc Speedway in Modoc, South Carolina for the Clarks Hill Classic.
The event will now be contested as a one-day program on Saturday, April 11, paying $5,000 to-win, and will serve as Round 2 of the 2026 season for America’s Leader in Racing.
This change comes following an announcement on March 11 from Screven Motor Speedway stating that all 2026 events are currently on hold. The post also shared that track owner James “Redd” Griffin had been hospitalized, noting that the focus remains on supporting him during his recovery. Crate Racin’ USA extends its thoughts and prayers to Redd and his family during this time and looks forward to returning to Screven Motor Speedway in the future.
With the adjustment, Modoc Speedway will now welcome the series for just the second time in history, and the first since April of 2006. That historic event saw Shannon Buckingham take the victory in a 50-lap feature over Casey Roberts and Carnell Parker, with a stacked field that included Ronnie Johnson, Chris Ferguson, Michael Page, Matthew Turner, and others.
Located just east of the South Carolina–Georgia line, the gumbo-covered 3/8-mile oval has seen a resurgence under the leadership of Ronnie Powell, who has revitalized the facility after years of dormancy. His efforts have brought new life to the speedway, investing in both the racing surface and the surrounding community. Crate Racin’ USA officials expressed their appreciation to Powell and the Modoc Speedway staff for stepping up to keep the April date intact on the 2026 schedule.
The April 11 event also adds momentum to an already anticipated return trip to Modoc later in the season. The Inaugural – Brian Stewart Memorial on June 13 will remain on the schedule, paying $5,074 to win, with a potential bonus pushing the winner’s share to $8,404 if one driver can lead every lap. Thanks to Merry’s Home Furnishings, a $74-per-lap bonus has been posted, creating one of the most unique payout opportunities of the season.
Fans can watch all the action from Modoc Speedway live on Crate Racin’ USA TV, with a full card of racing that will also include 602 Late Models ($1,200 to-win), Street Stocks ($750 to-win), FWD ($400 to-win), Factory Stocks ($500 to-win), and Crown Vics ($200 to-win) as part of the track’s Modoc Challenge program.
Gates open at 3:00pm, with the Drivers Meeting scheduled for 6:30 and Hot Laps at 7:00pm.
