    Crate Racin' USA Kicks Off 2025 Season at the 34th Annual Ice Bowl

    (Eastaboga, AL - January 2nd, 2025) – The 2025 racing season for Crate Racin' USA officially begins this weekend with the highly anticipated 34th Annual Ice Bowl at the Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama. Drivers and teams from across the country have already begun arriving, ready to take on three action-packed days of racing across nine divisions.

    This weekend's events will mark the opening of the Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin' USA Winter Shootout Series, which kicks off on Friday, January 3. The Winter Shootout Series will feature a thrilling mix of hot laps, Stakt by CV Racing Products Time Trials, and Chevrolet Performance Heat Races to set up Saturday’s exciting championship action. Drivers who do not lock in during Friday's events will get one last chance to qualify through the Rogers-Dabbs Chevrolet B-Mains, fighting for a spot in the $4,000-to-win main event.

    The Ice Bowl will be a special race for the series as it marks the 10th time the Winter Shootout Series has competed in this January tradition at Talladega Short Track. Last year, Will Roland of Jasper, GA, took home the victory in the 40-lap feature, adding his name to the historic list of 604 Ice Bowl winners. Other notable past winners of the Winter Shootout Series include William Thomas (2016), Brandon Williams (2017), Ronnie Johnson (2018), Jimmy Elliott (2019 & 2020), Jason Welshan (2021 & 2023), and Cory Hedgecock (2022).

    This weekend's Ice Bowl will also serve as the opening race for the 2025 Winter Shootout Series Points Championship. The series champion will take home a $4,000 grand prize, while a total of $17,250 will be distributed to the top 10 finishers in the points standings. Additionally, rookies will be a major focus, as the best finishing rookie will win a $1,500 bonus, with second and third place rookies earning cash prizes as well. The rookie points fund totals $2,750.

    2025 Winter Shootout Series Points Fund:
    1st - $4,000
    2nd - $2,500
    3rd - $2,000
    4th - $1,750
    5th - $1,500
    6th - $1,300
    7th - $1,200
    8th - $1,100
    9th - $1,000
    10th - $900
    Total Points Purse: $17,250

    Rookie of the Year Points Fund:
    1st - $1,500
    2nd - $750
    3rd - $500
    Total Rookie Points Purse: $2,750

    Drivers who compete in 100% of scheduled Winter Shootout events will receive the full points fund payout. For drivers who participate in fewer events, their points payout will be prorated based on the percentage of races completed.

    CRUSA Street Stocks ($2,500 to-win) {Feature on Friday}
    TST Factory Stocks ($1,500 to-win)
    SMFMA Mini Stocks ($3,000 to-win)
    Sunshine Compact Series/Hot Shots ($2,005 to-win)
