2025 Winter Shootout Series Kicks Off This Weekend at 34th Annual Ice Bowl

(Eastaboga, AL - December 30, 2024) – The highly anticipated 2025 Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin' USA Winter Shootout Series officially kicks off this weekend with the 34th Annual Ice Bowl at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama. The action-packed event will take place from January 2-4, 2025, with drivers and teams from across the country vying for the historic Ice Bowl trophy and a $4,000 payday.

The Ice Bowl has long been a cornerstone of the Winter Shootout Series, with this year marking the tenth time the series will compete in this prestigious event. Last year, Will Roland of Jasper, Georgia, claimed victory at the Ice Bowl, eventually securing the Winter Shootout Series championship. Roland’s thrilling triumph came after a hard-fought battle with Lenoir City, Tennessee’s Matt Henderson, who finished just 34 points behind the champion.

The impressive list of previous Ice Bowl winners includes some of the sport’s best, with Jimmy Elliott and Jason Welshan being the only repeat champions.

Thursday, January 2, 2025 – Open Practice for All Divisions (Gates Open at 9 AM, Practice 12 PM – 5 PM)

Friday, January 3, 2025 – Qualifying and Heat Races (Gates Open at 8 AM, Registration & Tech Inspection 8 AM – 12 PM, Driver’s Meeting at 9:30 AM, Hot Laps at 10 AM)

Saturday, January 4, 2025 – B-Mains and Features (Gates Open at 8 AM, Drivers Meeting at 9:30 AM, B-Mains at 10 AM)

Sunday, January 5, 2025 – Rain Date (If needed)

The Ice Bowl will mark the first of four weekends of intense racing action in the 2025 Winter Shootout Series. Following the Talladega event, the series will head to Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida, for the DirtCar Sunshine Nationals from January 23-25, featuring a $10,000-to-win main event. Other Winter Shootout events include The Sweetheart at I-75 Raceway in Sweetwater, Tennessee, on February 15, and the prestigious Swamp Cabbage 100 at Hendry County Motorsports Park in Clewiston, Florida, on February 21-22.

2025 Winter Shootout Series Schedule:
January 2-4: Talladega Short Track – Eastaboga, AL | Ice Bowl ($4,000 to win)
January 22-25: Volusia Speedway Park – Barberville, FL | DirtCar Sunshine Nationals ($10,000 to win)
February 15: I75 Raceway – Sweetwater, TN | The Sweetheart ($3,000 to win)
February 20-22: Hendry County Raceway Park – Clewiston, FL | Swamp Cabbage 100 ($15,000 to win)
The overall points champion of the 2025 Winter Shootout Series will take home a $4,000 cash prize, with a total points fund of $17,250 for the top 10 drivers. Additionally, the best finishing rookie will earn a $1,500 bonus, with second and third place rookies also receiving cash prizes. The rookie points fund totals $2,750.

Drivers who compete in 100% of the scheduled Winter Shootout events will receive the full points fund payout. For drivers participating in less than 100% of the events, payouts will be prorated based on participation.
