(Eastaboga, AL - 10/28/2024) - The Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin' USA Dirt Late Model Series is hitting The Dirt Track at Charlotte for the highly anticipated 9th Annual World Short Track Championship! With round 15 of the 2024 season upon us, the excitement is palpable as the championship battle heats up.
Former series champion Jimmy Thomas from Phenix City, AL, leads the charge with a 60-point advantage, but don’t count out Matt Henderson from Lenoir City, TN, who’s just 2 points ahead of Cruise with the Champions - Rookie of the Year leader Matt Dooley from Brooks, GA. Last year’s Rookie of the Year, Mario Gresham, is eager to rebound after a tough outing at Talladega, while young gun Bubba Roling from Clay Hill, FL, is looking to close the gap.
The action kicks off on Thursday, October 31, with all divisions hitting the track for practice hot laps before the highly anticipated qualifying rounds. This will be followed by Championship Features, where the Top 10 from qualifying will be locked into the Pro (604) Late Models – 20-lap Feature, plus other drivers will be selected by event and series officials.
