(Eastaboga, AL – October 15, 2024) – The Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin' USA Dirt Late Model Series is set to return to Needmore Speedway in Norman Park, Georgia, on Friday, November 22nd, and Saturday, November 23rd, 2024, for the 13th Annual Early Bird 50, paying $10,000 to-win.
This highly anticipated event marks the second time in 2024 that the Crate Racin' USA Series has visited the Needmore Speedway, following the season-opening Inaugural Southern Heritage Classic in late March. The event saw Richie Stephens from Phenix City, AL, capture his first-ever series victory in a thrilling battle for the win. Now, the series heads back to the Chance Smith-promoted facility for what promises to be an action-packed weekend.
Since 2020, Needmore Speedway has hosted 10 Crate Racin' USA events, with plenty of memorable moments. Former series champion Wil Herrington won the first two series events at Needmore in 2020 and 2021. In 2021, Jimmy Thomas, the current series points leader, scored his first Early Bird 50 victory, a feat he repeated in 2022. The 2023 edition of the Early Bird saw Cody Overton of Evans, GA, take home the win, with Mark Whitener and Trent Ivey rounding out the podium.
