(Eastaboga, AL – October 8, 2024) – The Rogers-Dabbs Performance Parts Crate Racin’ USA Dirt Late Model Series is closing in on the conclusion of the 20th season with the highly anticipated Turkey 100, set to take place at Swainsboro Raceway in Swainsboro, GA, on November 29-30, 2024. The event was in jeopardy due to the significant amount of damage done around the raceway, due to Hurricane Helene last month.
Track owner J.J. Williams and his staff have been hard at work in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, which caused significant damage to the facility back on Friday, September 27th. Despite the setbacks, Williams and his team have been dedicated not only to restoring the facility but also to supporting the local community, providing food throughout the recovery efforts.
In addition to the Turkey 100, Swainsboro Raceway has announced plans to host the Turkey Tune-Up, a prelude to the big event. While details are still being finalized, the tracks Facebook page confirmed that the event "Ordered the Turkey 100 trophies today with that being said, we gonna also try to have the turkey tune up. It definitely won’t look the same at the boro!".
The Turkey 100 will offer a $10,000-to-win main event that's expected to draw a star-studded field of Chevrolet Performance powered 604 Late Models. This prestigious race marks only the second time the series has visited the 3/8-mile gumbo clay oval, with the inaugural event taking place in August 2023, when local favorite Cody Overton of Evans, GA, claimed the $10,000 top prize.
Fans and drivers can expect an action-packed event, with the best Crate Late Model competitors in the nation battling it out for the prestigious Turkey 100 victory.
