Sunshine Nationals Finale Canceled; East Bay Next

EASTABOGA, Ala. — Due to an unstable weather forecast and area weather predictions calling for afternoon and early-evening rain, DIRTcar Racing and World of Outlaws Series officials have canceled the final night of the fourth annual Sunshine Nationals at half-mile Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Fla.

Crate Racin' USA works closely with the organization to present the 604 Late Model portion of the program, which also features DIRTcar's similar Pro Late Model-type machines. The finale of the weekend was scheduled to pay $10,000 to the winner, but the race will not be rescheduled, marking the second year in a row that inclement weather has forced the three-day weekend’s finale to be canceled.

Winter Shootout Series Heads to East Bay
Crate Racin’ USA's Winter Shootout Series, currently in its eighth annual presentation, will now head to East Bay Raceway Park in Gibsonton, Fla., on Jan. 26-28, 2023, for the traditional Florida Winternationals, which features three nights of action on the famed third-mile "Clay by the Bay" for 604 Late Models, plus events for the organization's highly-popular Crate Racin’ USA Street Stock division.

An open practice session will be held Wed., Jan. 25. Racing action begins on Thurs., Jan. 26, and the three straight nights of Late Model competition will pay $2,500 to win the first two nights, and $5,000 to win for the series finale. Street Stock competitors will race for $1,000 to win the first two nights, and $2,500 to win the finale.

Access the track’s website at www.ebrp.co or the series website at www.crateracinusa.com for additional information, or check out the facility and the series on their respective social media channels.
